Pink Eye

When we landed in Bangkok, Cole's eye was getting pink - not how you want to spend your vacation - battling conjunctivitis.  I was grateful that we lived in Bangkok before and that they have great medical care.  I flashed back to 2000 when Stan and I first moved to Bangkok and I had an eye incident.  At the time I wore contacts and sometimes by the end of the night would be rubbing my eyes from discomfort.  One night I kept rubbing and rubbing when Stan said something must really be wrong with my eye.  I went to the mirror and my eye was very red and had a clear gel-like substance on it - and I didn't have my contacts in.  We hopped in a taxi (it was late on a Saturday night) and went to the urgent care at Bumrungrad hospital.  The care was incredible.  They got me in, seen, prescribed and out in less than an hour.  I was dreading the urgent care bill, but it was less than $10USD! So when this eye incident came up I called Bumrungrad and they said they'd see us first thing in the morning.  Once again thorough great care (he has 20/20 vision) and it didn't stop our vacation plans at all.
