Grocery shopping in Shekou isn't too bad for foreigners all things considered. There are a lot of basics we are used to seeing at home. These pictures are from the New One grocery store below our apartment. There was also a store called Silver Palate next door that would deliver to our door for free! One day I was cooking and needed corn statch. I called down and 5 minutes later there it was! I can't get service like that in the USA!
There is also Walmart which caters more to locals.

| Some of the stores like Walmart and Sam's Club are on two floors. They have these great escalators designed for carts. The wheels lock in so it pretty safe. Smart idea! |
