Backstory - Mom gave Teri this goofy pink little girl style nightgown complete with a bear holding balloons on it when she went away to college - what the? Anyways, my sisters and I secretly give it to each other when not expecting. Teri had it last when I moved so Gena coming didn't make me think it would show up in China...
Here's our transcript on my discovery below. This post includes commentary on me later in March leaving at Teri's in Seattle.
Me: Gena- What the?! Well played. I found in March the week before you came to visit but couldn't decide whether to try to send it back to you so didn't reveal then. She hid it in January Teri! Rest assured Teri has it now - tucked happily into her new comforter. And she thought I tidied her house just out of love- muhahaha.

I was suspicious. Gena can attest to that. I was nervous about you cleaning because you could hide it anywhere!!! DOH!

I'm just glad you didn't return the duvet! Or give it to the lady who has your TV- you'd never get it back

When I went to get it I was like "weird, I don't remember the zipper being busted"
I just finished washing my down comforter in prep for the new duvet and everything! You got me good!

Oh, Cherie we were in utter shock! In Dec, Teri asked me to plant it in your house. We wondered why you hadn't found it because you love to wear that dress. So when I went back, I checked that it was there. The day we left, I checked to make sure it was there. The whole visit I was worried you would accidentally toss it with things you were getting rid of. That IS the most valuable item our family owns, you know.
How in the world did you pack it? At the very end before we left?

It was well played on your side- I thought TT had it so didn't think to look for it when you came. The weather turned bad after you left so it was too cold to wear. Thus the mud March discovery. I waited till the very last minute to pack in case you checked
